Privacy Policy

When using the software products (hereinafter – the Software) offered by Limited Liability Company “CSC TELECOM", reg. No 40003611196 (hereinafter – CSC TELECOM), CSC TELECOM may receive the personal information of Software Users. This Privacy Policy applies only to the information collected by CSC TELECOM when a User registers on the CSC TELECOM website to use the Software or other offered services where User registration is required.

Before using the Software, please read the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy (hereinafter – the Policy).

1. General provisions

1.1. When using the software products, the User confirms the following:

a) he or she has fully read the terms and conditions of this Policy before using the Software;

b) the beginning of the use of the software products in any form means that the User fully agrees with all the provisions of this Policy;

c) if the User does not agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy, the User must immediately stop any use of this site;

d) CSC TELECOM may change this Policy (or any part of it) without giving a special notice. The new version of the Policy takes effect from the moment it is published on the CSC TELECOM website (https://gateway.csc.lv/pipedrive/docs/privacy_en.html) unless otherwise provided in the new version of the Policy.

1.2. When using the Software through a web browser that accepts data from cookies, the User agrees that CSC TELECOM may collect and process data from cookies for the purposes specified in this Policy, and, in certain cases specified in this Policy, transfer data from cookies to third parties.

Disabling and/or blocking the browser option for the receipt of data from cookies means the prohibition to CSC TELECOM to collect and process data from cookies in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Policy.

1.3. CSC TELECOM does not verify the correctness of personal information provided by Users. However, under the terms and conditions of the License Agreement, the User is obliged to provide confirmation of the correctness of personal information provided by himself or herself.

2. Information about the User

2.1. This Policy concerns the following personal information:

2.1.1. Personal information posted by Users, including about self-registration; information posted by the User in the process of using the Software. Personal information obtained in this way may include: name, surname, date of birth, phone number, application information, account passwords and/or User e-mail address. The User provides other information at his or her discretion.

2.1.2. Data that is automatically transmitted during the use of the Software using the Software installed on the User's device, including IP address, device individual network number (MAC address, device ID), electronic serial number (IMEI, MEID), Android Advertising Identifier (Google AID), data from cookies, information about the browser, operating system, access time, search requests, and information about the location of the User's device.

2.1.3. Data provided by the User additionally at the request of CSC TELECOM to meet CSC TELECOM's obligations to the User regarding the use of the Software, including phone calls made to monitor the quality of technical support and other aspects of the Software support.

3. Purpose of processing the information about Users

3.1. CSC TELECOM uses the information collected on the User to provide the User with the CSC TELECOM Software and related services and to provide the User with all necessary information, including security alerts and support messages.

3.2. CSC TELECOM may use information obtained about the User to protect its rights, to prevent fraud or other illegal activities and for any other purposes communicated to the User in connection with the CSC TELECOM software and related services.

4. Categories of recipients of User data

4.1. User data may be transferred to third parties only to the extent and in the manner specified in the License Agreement. CSC TELECOM undertakes to comply with the GDPR and other laws and regulations, as well as the terms and conditions of the concluded License Agreement when transferring the User's personal data.

4.2. User data may be transferred:

1)         to persons authorized by CSC TELECOM or companies involved in the provision of the Software;

3)         to the User himself or herself, in compliance with the GDPR norms;

4)         to public authorities to comply with regulatory enactments;

5)         Where the services are assigned to subcontractors, which are considered to be personal data to sub-processors, CSC TELECOM involves only those service providers, who guarantee the implementation of technical and organisational measures of relevant personal data processing in such a way that the processing of the User's rights in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and laws and regulations is ensured.

4.3. In any case, CSC TELECOM will always ensure that the User information is processed only in connection with the use of the Software and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, subject to the existing data protection laws and regulations.

5. User rights

5.1. The User has the right to receive confirmation from CSC TELECOM about whether or not personal data is being processed in relation to the User.

5.2. The User is entitled to request:

1)         rectification of his or her data;

2)         erasure of his or her data;

3)         restriction of processing of his or her data;

4)         object to the processing of his or her data;

5)         withdraw his or her consent at any time;

6)         submit a complaint to the supervisory authority.

6. Duration of User data storage

6.1. The User's personal data is processed only for the purposes mentioned above and as long as it is necessary to achieve such purposes, to protect the interests of CSC TELECOM and the User, or to comply with the time limits laid down in laws and regulations.

6.2. CSC TELECOM destroys the User's personal data as soon as the need to process such data ceases.

6.3. User data is a restricted access information that can only be accessed by employees for whom admission to this data is necessary to perform work tasks. All employees of CSC TELECOM are trained to be able to protect User rights.

6.4. Despite the above, the User has the right to request the erasure of his or her data. Depending on the services provided by CSC TELECOM to the User, CSC TELECOM may need to retain certain data for legal purposes for 18 (eighteen) months from the date of the request for erasure. CSC TELECOM cannot continue to provide services to the User if the User requests to erase his or her data.

7. User data security

7.1. CSC TELECOM provides and takes appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction or damage to personal data, including appropriate coding of personal data.

7.2. CSC TELECOM is testing its security features introduced to ensure the processing of personal data.

7.3. CSC TELECOM ensures that persons authorised to process personal data have entered into confidentiality obligations.

7.4. Data security can only be effective if the User complies with certain security practices, including never disclosing information about his or her Account or connection data to any other person. If the User believes that any login data from the User Account was disclosed, the User can change his or her password at any time using the CSC TELECOM website or the Software mobile application, but the User should also contact the CSC TELECOM customer service immediately (support@csc.lv or info@csc.lv).

7.5. Transmission of information through the internet can not be completely safe. When transferring any information, the User himself or herself assumes all risks. However, when receiving User information, CSC TELECOM will apply strict procedures and security measures to prevent unauthorized access.
